Lynn Daniel Makeover
| | When Lynn Daniel was diagnosed with breast cancer just 2 days after completing the Jane Tomlinkson 10k run, she didn't realise just how affected she would be by the treatment that followed.
Not only did the chemotherapy cause her to lose her hair, it also took away her brows and eyelashes. Lynn was distraught.
But the story has a happy ending. Because Lynn was attending Breast Cancer Haven, she was introduced to Karen Betts, the director of the Nouveau Beauty Group and MD of Nouveau Contour, who works closely with the Haven to help women living with visible effects of cancer regain their confidence through permanent cosmetics.
Lynn agreed to a complete makeover and soon afterwards Karen and her team worked their magic to help restore her confidence and feel feminine again.
The makeover included;
3D hairstroke brows by Cathy Brown, a Nouveau Contour Paramedical Trainer
A specially selected, cut and styled hairpiece by Julie Spriggs from Trendco
freshMineral makeup by makeup artist Claire Jagger
Blink+Go strip lashes by lash technician Melanie Ely
Lynsey MacDonald co-ordinated the whole event from start to finish, and Karen was on hand all day to help pick the right pigment colours, lashes and hairpiece to complement Lynn's natural skin tone and features.
Needless to say, Lynn was thrilled with the result, saying;
"It's been a wonderful, fabulous, amazing day - I want to tell everyone about it!".
